Has he lived up to the hype? No, but the problem might be the "hype". He really hasn't had that great of a team up until last season. We'll see as they keep building around him.

Great qbs over come that shyt though.

Luck is good but not top tier good. Hes like phillip rivers level type of qb.

Did Elway really live up to the hype?
I'm too young to know his career in depth but I know he was a choker and never won in the offs until TD.
And i know it was a different time and different game but his TD/INT ratio in his 1st 7 years is atrocious 120/114:mybama:

Completion % around 55

Compared to Luck 171/83 and 60%

Elway is more overrated then Luck. Dude needed a stack team and HoF RB to win.

Him and Aikman are the two most overrated qbs

So going into the last season of the 2010s, with 7, soon to be 8 years in the books, Andrew Luck is easily not a Top 5 QB of this era. Is he even a Top 10 QB of the '10s? I can give you eight guys off top who were greater in this era:

Ben, Brady, Brees, Peyton, Rivers, Rodgers, Ryan, Wilson...

The last two spots of the Top 10 are going to be arguable for Luck for sure, but he fighting with Romo, Cousins, and Padford. So I'd say Luck is the 9th or 10th best QB of this era, which is underachieving from where they said he'd be...

I'll be right back to respond to the John Elway thing, @portcityplaya !

Matt fukking Ryan is not a better QB then Luck. U give Luck ATLs offense and he wins multiple MVPs :camby:

Aikman wasnt overrated. He just happened to play on the first super bowl winning team in NFL history that was led by the NFL regular season rushing leader. That took snaps away from Aikman.

The nikka is a Luck hater. Look at his post history in the thread. :skip:

Breh took a bum ass Colts roster to the AFCCG, carrying them to 11-5 records consecutively in his rookie and sophmore seasons. Threw for 39 TDs coming off a shoulder injury last season and he questioning whether he's a top 10 QB in the '10s. :skip:

I'm just sitting back with popcorn at this point. :skip:

I think its hella debatable Ryan is the better QB, you cant say it isn't debatable. Arguments in Matt's favor:

•ironman (Brittle Man Luck in danger of missing games again)
•3x division champ (2 for Luck)
•more of a pinpoint passer, fewer bad throws
•less of a turnover machine
•been to two championship games (one for Luck)
•been to a Super Bowl
•has actually been the best quarterback in the NFL for a full, entire season

I could make a list to argue for Luck, too. But don't tell me it isn't debatable, and at the end of the day, I've watched Ryan accomplish more, so I think Matty Ice is better, but its debatable. You certainly cant say with absolute clarity that Brittle Man Luck is better lmao...

This is Rivers average statline, 2010-2018, per 16 games:

65.1% completions, 4412 yards, 30-15 Td-int, 7.8 ypa, 95.5 passer rating

This Luck, 2012-2018, per 16 games:

60.8% completions, 4404 yards, 32-15 Td-int, 7.2 ypa, 89.5 passer rating

Really close and I'll take an argument for Luck over Rivers quicker than I'll accept an argument for Luck over Ryan. Rivers is only a .500 QB this decade, no division wins, so while I think he's a better overall "thrower if the football" than Luck, Luck's results translate to wins more often. I can buy Luck as better than Phil!

Actually i can easily say Luck ia better. Ryan has had a high power offense most his career and it wasnt until i think 2016 he actually led the league in something and MVP.

Luck with far less has played much better then Ryan who is expected to finish top 3 with the weapons he has had but failed doing so except one year.

Overrated cac

I was listening to the sports station down here last night, & the host said Luck is elite, but Cam isn’t because he’s injured too much.
That shyt low key pissed me off so much I had to text the radio station on their text line & tell ol dude he full of shyt cause Luck is injured more than Cam, & Cam has won a MVP & at least been to the Super Bowl. Black QBs are held to such a higher standard it’s ridiculous
