And another thing it cost a lot to hire someone with the drug test etc. Once they offer you the job they pretty much checked everything they needed. If you come in and bust your ass and prove you're a valuable assest to the company they will keep you regardless

shyt my job just found out I got a DUI and they give no fukks because I come in on time do my shyt and cause no problems :yeshrug:

Lmao @ u being dapped by someone name @Eat Dhat dikk Up!!!!!!!!!

Hmm they just asked about my dates and my mom confirmed them. They had outsourced the background check so :yeshrug:

Like I said before, this is the only thing they can ask.

Go buy a business license and say you left your previous job to pursue a dream you had but unfortunately it didnt work out.

Or you could actually try to sell something from home :yeshrug:
No, please don't do this. Employers don't like entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurs for the most part know that they're worth more than what they're getting paid. They also aren't reliable long term, as they can get that entrepreneurial itch and quit the job on a whim. They could also be working there to learn the business in order to become a future competitor. In short entrepreneurs don't make for good employees.

If you do have a business just put yourself as some somewhat important title in the business but not as the owner.

Just say you traveled or if you know a person who has a business of their own say you worked there, they should be able to back you up. I'm not sure you can lie if you have been in jail.
I'm worried about this still, but fukk it gotta stand and fall by your mistakes

Pro tip: when applying online adjust ur resume to the position also copy and paste the requirements in your resume use white text color that way ur reaume passes the program for certain key words and actual human can review ur resume not w machine

I type in buzzwords and make them white on my digital resume so when I send applications online, they don't see it, but it shows up on the search.

Ok, can you give any idea on what the buzzwords were? or just do like homie said and paste the requirements?

This thread is good, bookmarked it when I saw it. If anyone got more knowledge, feel free to post

When you apply for a position or do anything always shoot for above and beyond always go for the unrealistic goals because the realistic goals is what 99% of most people go with in And you face more competition so it's better to shoot for something that seems unrealistic because the competition is far less and better rewards

If you apply do a job for any company make sure it's a company that you actually like its products or services or you want to be in that industry and try and apply online but if that doesn't work do whatever it takes to get your foot in the door if that means emailing every week or going to the corporate office do it

:ohhh: So are you Typing in relevant skills for the position like for us ?IT guys something like CISCO Certified or are there certain buzzwords most employers look for? and can you just type them anywhere or are they inline with your skills list? what if the person reviewing highlights your resume just to see if you did that?:feedme::feedme:

Tailor the words you use to the job you're applying for. Type them at the bottom, or if your resume just happens to be exactly two pages, use any spaces you can. Just be neat, save it as a copy, and hope your potential employee doesn't highlight. I use PDFs sometimes.

The information in here was definitely helpful, if anyone needs help shoot me a PM.

Lastly from my experience, don't bother tell out right lies because you will get caught. Just twist the truth to something that can float.

I haven't work since Aug & won't be able to work until Aug 2015. I know that if I find a job (inshallah) & they ask me about the year long break in work history Im fukked. I wanted to know if I should put down I went to college for a couple semesters & do they check that shyt :lupe:?
Tell them you took a year off to travel bruh....or that you had a sick family member that you had to take care of. You could even say you had surgery or some shyt decided to stay home until you felt that you could contribute 100% to your job :mjpls:
