Has anyone else lost interest in sports?

To an extent.

From mid-teens to early twenties, I knew damn near every NBA roster and kept up with all NBA news. I'd check box scores every morning, watch individual player highlights and was somewhat active on basketball forums.

From my mid twenties to now early thirties, I barely keep up aside from the NBA draft, playoffs, and my favorite team (Lakers). I'll probably completely remove basketball from my life in a few years. Same thing happened to gaming. I'd rather dedicate that time to discovering new music and self-improvement.

ATL, but rasied in DMV
My interest left for one year, came back, then left for good. After that, the only sport I could watch was boxing, until I moved South, and lost my fight-party crowd. This was about the same time boxing started going down-hill again, and all you had left was Mayweather and Dela hoya, and both of them had already started to slow down.

Somewhat. I lost interest in football a good while ago. I pay attention here and there. I watch some fights (mma, boxing) but not as much. I do watch hockey but barely follow it, just watching it if it is on. I used to watch a lot of basketball but I've since lost interest, following the game from time to time. I think I only watch basketball these days because my girl does so at least I have a decent idea of what is going on. I'm somewhat interested but I either don't have time or can't justify just sitting and watching for such a period of time.

I look forward to this post being used against me next time I have a hot take that makes everyone mad in The Coliseum.

Just NBA but I’m eh on the regular season. I definitely don’t talk about it as much unless it’s with my people.

I fukk with sports and played all my life but it’s funny to hear nikkas act like watching sports is the pinnacle of masculinity. What’s so masculine about living vicariously through grown ass men running around with a ball? There’s nothing wrong with sports as entertainment but it’s corny to act like it’s gay to not watch sports
Most hardcore fans have played sports. They can appreciate the level of athleticism and what it takes to be a teammate. Growing up people who didn’t watch sports never played sports == weak. This was before the days of weight lifting and martial arts.

Yeah I was never that interested in watching sports unless it’s the World Cup / Olympics or something. My dad is heavily into soccer / football so I’m a bit knowledgeable when it comes to the teams and players at least. I much prefer playing it than watching.

Yea

I used to be a huge fan. I watched all the sports talk shows like PTI, SAS and Skip Bayless, etc
now I pretty much just work and watch anime + movies
I think as you get older, you can t even pretend that you would ever make the league, hit the winning 3 pt shot etc.....the allure fades

I am excited for the world cup though. I also will be watching if Bron makes it into the playoffs

Watched soccer religiously between 1996-2011

Enough was enough. Too much money and no soul. I remember when the game actually meant something. I only watch international football.
