Has anyone else noticed it's a divide happening in the black community between conspiracy theorist and those who aren't?

True...but I don't even think that's the main problem. The main problem IMO is the Internet and social media.

It's just too easy for stupid ideas to spread. It's 2024 and a significant percentage of people think the Earth is flat because somebody on YouTube or Facebook said so. Whereas in the 80s or 90s somebody talking that shyt would just be a crazy person on the corner that people ignore.

Not sure what you do about it, but it's an issue. :yeshrug:
Kill the top 5 people responsible for media propaganda, including Murdock, Trump, Fukker Charletan, ect. Make people fear spreading disinformation by giving minor offenses a couple days in jail and media personalities a week to 2 weeks in the county, amongst general population.

-Outside the Internet I see no divide amongst Black people & I mean literally none. Nobody I know professional or personal gives a fukk about any of this conspiracy shyt outside of something to laugh about or small talk.

-Rigged sports, lottery, illuminati, etc. It's the same shyt we didn't actually care about the last few decades put through a megaphone.

Covid Vaccine really showed me this. But the fact that we as a people have been experimented on with vaccines justifies them. Like @Admiral Kali said, it's an overcorrection.
See this is when the conspiracy shyt really started killing people. I know its been other instances but thousnds and thousands of people died from covid due to misinformation and conspiracies. RIP Kay Slay

This shyt here is sad to hear and so many other died because of the stupid shyt

Which 'conspiracy theory' are we talking about?

Sports rigging? An NBA ref came out and even wrote a book about them doing it.

Dwight Smith, who won a superbowl, admitted what was going on

A former mafia member went on an interview and admitted they propositioned players to shave points

Did they ever find those weapons of mass destruction in Iraq? If the government will fabricate stories to push a war, what do you think they won't do?

Even the situation in Haiti with 'Barbeque' screens government backing

Dude is wearing a freemason pendant. I'm sure there's no collaboration there.

Remember when it was 'tinfoil hat' when people were saying your 'smart devices' including tv were listening in on you until device makers admitted it?

They are doing satanic rituals live on tv

Educated and uneducated. That’s it.

The more educated you are, the less likely you’ll fall victim to these conspiracy theories and you’ll know how to discern fake information and proper sources

Now remember I said education. I know a few smart people who fall victim to conspiracy theories as well but just don’t have those skills needed to navigate the modern world and its pitfalls.

In addition, people have ALWAYS tended to lean towards whatever source validates their beliefs or proves a point that they like. Some of this just plain human bias, it’s in our nature. Social media and the internet just allows the fringes of thought and society to gather in a large way and spread idea that wasn’t there in the past
An extra caveat to what you said is that all those companies are fully aware of this and exploit the situation.

TYRONE GA!
I can see it everywhere from the Coli, social media, and even my brother be on that shyt now. It's got to the point now where everything including sports is rigged. Everything is about the illuminati and secret society bullshyt, like everything.

Anyone else notice this? I think it's fukking our community up and it's annoying as fukk. The Katt Williams shyt is a prime example of it. I believe a majority or close to if of black Americans prolly think Kevin Hart was sucking dikks and fukking goats to get to where he is. Literally any weird ass conspiracy will have black folks like "I believe it!: :krs: Then these will be the same folks calling Democrats sheep and rocking with Trump. shyt is beyond annoying man.

the effects of social media fam :francis:

I like to use the village idiot analogy. Back in the day you knew who the village idiots were and you simply ignored them. They didnt have enough reach to bring enough people to their side alone so they were relatively harmless. Social media has allowed all the village idiots to find each other, magnify their voice, and spread their bullshyt far and wide to influence people who may not be complete idiots but are easily swayed by them.

I'm better educated than approximately 99.8% of the population (source) and I'd be considered a conspiracy theorist. In turn, I'd argue that I simply have more experience with the ruling class and am more fully aware of the full extent of their perfidy.

That said, conspiracy theories abound when the people lose trust in institutions, ie, the gov't, the media, academia, the economy, etc. The social effects of Katrina, 9/11, the Great Recession, and Covid should clear all that up for you.
Hottie I need to break up your marriage. :patrice: I love your posting style. Woman always drops a lil "word of the day" into her posts. And I am a very very well read dude. Albeit it is in math and not use of the English language...Last week we got "germane", this week I learn perfidy.......Maybe it is the ability to use it without overthinking it....anyways, bush the husband this weekend and pack a bag we going to the Maldives. :steviej:

"no child left behind" was one of the worst policies for the average american in since the Reagan era drug campaigns
Social media fanned the flames further and the desire for more and more ad revenue has made news change its focus from information to entertainment.

All businesses in America want one thing: customers who are ADDICTED to their product. It's why news focuses on bad things happening, it's why algorithms feed you rage bait on social media. It's why games have season passes and loot boxes. Its why sugar and salt are being put in everything that isnt raw. It's why news sites have a few free articles to read and then demand you pay them every month to get basic journalism. Fact checked news costs money but misinformation is free and everywhere.
