I went to a play a few years ago, (2019) in San Diego, called Familiar, about a family from Zimbabwe's internal drama, my date canceled on me, so I was there alone
One of the leads was this gorgeous woman about my age, who was excellent in her role as the millennial daughter, and I was thinking, I would ask this person out, she's obviously smart, talented, and it's a play in San Diego, so she's accessible, to some degree, maybe she lives here, or whatever.
So, there's a Q&A with the cast after, and I stay, and I am just a few feet away from them, and I don't ask a question, but I compliment her performance, and how much I connected with it, her characterization of millennial traits, and she kinda goes back and forth with me for a second, an it's just one of those feelings where it's like I could see this convo going longer, privately. She's obviously an actress and a professional, in her professional setting, but there's just that second, quick flicker between us.
So, it ends and I'm like well, maybe I'll catch her sometime again, get home, and I go to look up her name, and backstory, in the play brochure, and it's Denzel Washington's daughter. I only found that out after I looked her name, it wasn't mentioned in the playbook. I had no idea, she was so cool, and down to earth, and her last name was Washington, but it's a common name, esp. east coast/black families. Olivia Washington.
