That helps a lot. I enjoy human interactions, but I am not a major people person. I am not anti social and I know how to interact with public but I enjoy my peace. People also have to be more careful about who they choose to hang around. I have many acquaintances, but I have 1 person outside of m family that I would call my friend. I am close to my sisters and that's good enough for me. If there is a local community college you can take up some enrichment classes (photography, drawing, writing, and etc). Like minded people tend to hang around the same places. I avoid the club hopping popping bottle types. No disrespect to them, but it is not my scene.
That's all well and good. But do you know how many people are thinking the EXACT same thing? Who have the exact same problem?
How many people do you really see starting random conversations with random strangers? Not alot I bet.
It seems you guys want and expect others to be open and charsmatic and happy and upbeat. Those people are few and far between, and if you don't know anyone like that, its time to become someone like that.
And how do you get there? By living and working for an enriching life. And what does it look like on the other side of that fence?
You see alot of people, Like I see you. And you GIVE to them. You listen to them, try to find out more about them, they open up, and you talk to them.
Like when I made the commitment to myself. To be alone, to work on myself. I feel "disconnected" too, but I also enjoy the fact that I can go to Starbucks and see lots of other people enjoying themselves or the company of their friends while I'm here typing up a storm on the Coli.
That's life. That's being "social" just enjoying the vibe of a room. It doesn't need to be your scene. But if you can just observe other people being happy, that's already so attractive to people. That opens YOU up in the way that people enjoy YOUR vibe and your a step closer to "bumping" into someone, saying some random line, and boom, your talking!
Friends? Aquintances? Attachments? Pffft, who cares? Just keep going. Life is YOUR journey. Life is about YOU!!
As long as YOUR having fun...OR AT LEAST NOT SUFFERING. YOUR DOING GREAT!!
WELCOME TO THE FIRST WORLD!!!
