Has anyone ever seen a dead body in person??

I'm a firefighter so I see dead bodies all the time. shyt doesn't bother me for the most part. The only time something got to me was about a month ago. This lady went into cardiac arrest in the middle of the night. She had been dead for a while. So me and my partner go downstairs to tell the family (her husband and 20 something year old daughter). Man they broke down crying right there..Asking how and why this happened to them.. shyt was sad as hell. That fukked me up for about 5mins..Then we went on another call and I kinda forgot about it until now

Yeah. One time when I was young, I saw someone laying dead from a botched robbery in my neighborhood. The second time there was two bodies. One was shot in the back, and already dead, and the other was an innocent bystander who was shot in the head, but still living. While I was looking at him his head was getting swollen from the fluid buildup, and while he was clutching on to his beer, he kept saying why?.

the Third time was a kid shot in the park at a basketball game being led on a stretcher, I think he made it though. There might be more but I just blocked them out I guess because they were funerals, and it wasn't a violent death in front of my face.

A couple of weeks ago some cyclist got hit by a truck near my house and I think he died.

Luckily I didn't see it. I missed it by about 20 minutes. I went on the main road to get the bus and police was there and the whole street cordoned off.

I feel you, I worked for the medical examiners office for a few years so I've seen hundreds of dead bodies in an autopsy setting, and at pretty much every type of scene imaginable, and it doesn't really get to me. I removed bodies from an insane amount of scenes and can really only think of about 3 occasions off top that effected me for a bit. Most involved hysterical family member of the deceased or the scenes were personal.

man, when i was like 10 yrs old. i was with my aunt at a gas station gettin some gas in east oakland on e.14th. im standing outside the car and hear a "BOOM." This bum was walkin across the street and got ran the fucc over. It was at night so i doubt dude who was drivin even saw the bum crossin the street. Dudes body flew up like a rag doll, then another can rolled over his body. It was some sick shyyt man. The 1st car sped off and didnt even stop after hittin dude The bums body parts were dismembered and his head was split open. Seein a human leg detached was crazy.

My aunt runs in the gas station and tells the dude to call the paramedics. But dude was obviously dead. Blood was all over the street. I was kinda shook for a few days after seein that shhyt

Raised me as a single parent so I had to go to work w/ him after he'd pick me up from school, seen plenty of dead bodies in my life, mostly after the autopsies, never anything fresh.
