Our good ol' Mexican friends.Heading to Cozumel for 10 days in a few weeks. Flying into Cancun and taking the ferry over from playa del Carmen.
Have been to Cozumel a lot on cruises and want to check it out because we are thinking about buying a rental or a future retirement home down there.
Thinking of Doing this in Panama or Costa Rica also. But Cozumel is the first choice. So we will vacation in the other spots later if this does not pan out.
But for a a person in there 20's. Definitely Cancun. It's real touristy but it's designed that way. Like a 24/hour party. Coz shuts down early and only have a few spots open late. Playa is really small but fun and we went to Cancun a lot when we were there.
But if you try the Mexican Riviera. Definitely stay in an all inclusive. Too much cartel activity.
We hardly ever do all inclusives. You can find a nice hotel and plenty of cheap restaurants and cheap booze for less than an all inclusive. But I can see the appeal with them though. But after 24 cruises , I don't like being locked down to one general location now.
Does it rain a lot though

We are doing an all inclusive for sureHeading to Cozumel for 10 days in a few weeks. Flying into Cancun and taking the ferry over from playa del Carmen.
