Has anyone here ever read Kindred by Otavia Butler?

Its a book about a modern (modern at that time) black woman who get dizzy spells and end up waking up in 1815. Her white husband time travels with her sometimes as she travel back n forth to take care of massa rufus. Just wanted to hear the coli's thoughts and opinions

She’s been more celebrated and recognized posthumously. You’re right, she did win some sci fi book awards when alive but given the relevance of her novels today I think she’s still woefully under appreciated.
