I can definitely work with the 10-12% range with just a little more definition in the obliques. 3-4% looks disgusting IMO. So 6-7% is absolutely impossible unless you're carb cycling and refeeding and all that technical stuff I have no clue about correct?
3-4% is not sustainable and is purely a "competition day" level of bodyfat for professional bodybuilders. It is also arguably unhealthy.
6-7% I'm not going to say is impossible (thats why I made this thread, I don't know), but based on pretty much everything I have read it isn't going to be possible to get there without carb restriction and/or drugs. It also isn't very sustainable without constant attention so unless you are a fitness professional it might not be worth it. Plus, I think women would probably prefer the 10% range more anyway.
If you just want to be in shape and look good naked (pause) which is 90% of people's desire I think, I wouldn't worry too much about getting that low because it isn't necessary. All these dudes you see in magazine, on tv, looking swole and shredded beyond belief, you have to understand that these guys dedicate their entire lives to looking like that and most of them are on steroids. Their livelihood and ability to make money depends on them looking like that so they are willing and able to go the extra mile.
The average guy trying to get in great shape is not that hardcore and physically will never be able to reach that level because we have full time jobs and responsibilities outside of our bodies.
I might try P90X or one of those crazy cardio programs one of these days and see if that can get me below 10, it might do the trick
