It's something I put a lot of thought into. I feel like I'm too interested in myself, my interests, my goals and that will never change enough for me to be able to give all my attention to a child, and deal with the stresses of being a parent. Perhaps that's pretty selfish, but selfish is not always a bad thing.

Plus I'm quite the introvert. I love being in my own space, my own peace. Zoning out. Children violating that would annoy me greatly.

Get back to us when you're 35-40. I'm 35 and I started to feel different about the issue in my mid 30s.

My mom and dad asked me out of curiosity recently and I told that I will not have children. Telling them that seemed to break their hearts because it means they will not be grandparents because I'm an only child. Well, my dad is a step grand parent but its not the same. They asked me to re-consider, I told them the decision has been made. They continued to be hurt, but they accepted it.

Has anyone made that choice? Have you told your parents? What was the reaction?

I decided not to have anymore.

Trust. As you age some of your interests will definitely change. shyt I'm sure some of the things you used to be into at 21 no longer hold your attention now.
