Has anyone taken an IQ test before?

Took one as a kid a long time ago. I got a really great score. I didn't think shyt of it because scores like that don't matter unless you're a man of action. Seriously. My dad outright admits to not being the brightest guy in the room, ever, but he brags constantly about how hard he works and how he's always employing whatever he does have in his business practices.

I took a similar test when I was 9, the Canadian version. I scored in the 99.7th percentile in some sections, and in the 14th percentile in some other section. It's fascinating how the brain works and can be trained. It's funny that our society so values physical and aesthetic training, but training your brain and its vast potential is totally ignored.

I scored in the 99th percentile for verbal and the 6th percentile for performance / spatial skills :heh:

Basically, I'm a well spoken retard :manny:

The suburbs
Silicon Valley wages... They're MUCH higher in Frisco. Sh)t out here they got dudes doing desktop support for around 55k and these dudes are barely proficient. Most of the posters of this site could do the job.

I remember at Sohh there was a thread like this and most of them cats said they were making 100k+ one dude even said he thought that was average pay for a college grad. sh)t had me like :sadcam:

If you go the engineer route though, THOSE guys are walking in the door with 80k out here. Good field to get into plus it puts you in a position to come up with your own ideas and projects without having to come out of pocket off top by having to pay someone to code for you

Good luck breh

:lawd:

That shyt makes me want to change my major. Help desk makign 55k, even if its in California but still thats a lot.

Did an online one a few years ago, it said 128, I don't believe it, there's no validity in the test I took as far as I'm aware.

I'd like to do a proper one though, anyone know what the official IQ test is, if there is such a thing and how much it costs?

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
you gotta take the real one, where you go into someone's office and they give you the test over the course of hours. that online shyt ain't real

i took one when i was younger. they wanted to see why i was so bad in school and didn't pay attention. i scored in the genius range (still have the papers) but i also have ADD.

but IQ doesn't mean shyt really. you can be a smart lazy bum. or a dumb hard working ceo. it's all about your drive and your willingness to use that brain god gave you. reminds me of malcolm x. his boss remembering every number he was given without ever writing it down. could have been something great in life.. decided to be a street hustler and went no where in life..

being smart doesn't mean you have drive, opportunity or common sense

I took one when I was about 9/10 but I never got the results. They were doing it for a positive reason and not for a negative reason though.

I'd be interested in doing one now, I swear I've gotten stupider the longer I've used the internet :heh:

I was the same way. When I got tested for gifted in school, my math/quant score was like 135 but my verbal score was only like 115 or 118 or something.

However the first time I took the GRE, I completely froze up on the math and got a nearly perfect score on the verbal section. I took it again three weeks later, it all balanced out.

Took an online one and I don't remember the score, but it was in the above average range. Wonder what I would get now.

online tests are usually bs if you score 142 then you would score normal on a regular one.

try mensa for accurate results..

if you score high they'll test you in more depth over and over
