Ya know no one ever mentions it but dude really never has had an elite receiver 
It'd be interested to see what he would do if he had an elite receiver to throw to 
But nevertheless he has always had a cohesive group of 3-4 above average to good receivers which kind of makes up for the lack of an elite receiver kinda like Aaaron Rodgers in Green Bay.

Brees makes those WR's. Imagine if he had the weapons like Peyton Rodgers Ryan even Brady with Gronk and Romo with Dez.
Not saying they're scrubs but don't think they would match their production as compared to Brees unless they're playing with Peyton Brady or Rodgers.

Colston is top 10 and Jimmy Graham is arguably the best TE in the league. He's always had slot guys like Bush, Sproles, and Moore and deep threats to complement them like Meacham and Henderson. And he had Shockey. He's had plenty of capable weapons and a great system that fits him.

Yeah Colston has put up 1,000 yards every year he's been in the league except for the one year he only played 12 games and was injured. He has a 98 catch 1200 yard 11 TD year. He may not be "elite," but he's a top 10 WR of about the last 8 years and he's a big reliable target.

Colston is not a top10 WR. He's been very solid though for a long time but lets look at some of these guys..Robert Meacham had 600-700 yards and 5+ TDs for like 3 straight years. His year in San Diego he did nothing. What would Devery Henderson do on any team outside of New Orleans?
He's probably the only HOF QB to not have a Pro bowl or all Pro WR in his career. People cry about Dan Marino but he had the All Pro Marks brothers in their primes
Saints defense was pretty good when they made that SB run though.
