Wayne is a much better traditional rapper. He doesn't only have bars but he has a variety of flows and is capable of outshining many types of rappers on songs, including actual lyricists like Benny.

But his catalog is generally mid. There's some highlights like Carter 2 and his mixtape catalog but the rest of his albums has generally aged almost as bad as Eminem's catalog. The rest of his albums have good songs sprinkled in like Go DJ, A Milli, Let The Beat Build, etc. but Carter 2 is his most cohesive project that actually can be compared to other classic/quality rap albums.

And that was always Wayne's weakness. He could spit like his life depended on it but he wasn't good at making consistent and cohesive albums.

Future is a worse rapper than Wayne. I don't care what ya'll say. Future is carried by delivery, not lyrics or flow. But he's better than Wayne when it comes to putting out cohesive albums and having a decent level of consistency for the type of music he does.
Wrong. Future has flow and delivery. That’s why he can make so many sonically different songs, he has a flow for each and every one. I’ll give you lyrics, he’s never had a bar that made me say wow. He’s actually a few that made me cringe.

Hard to call it tbh. Off influence you have a good amount of rappers who claim Wayne as their influence like polo g, uzi, Kodak, and Thug and then all of the artist under his umbrella like lil baby and gunna you would have to credit somewhat to Wayne. Future on the other hand has a lot of underground influence, but the artists aren’t that great in caliber imo like Durk, Money Man, Destroy Lonely, Juice Wrld. If it’s music alone I strongly prefer Future I can’t even listen to most prime Wayne songs without cringing or feeling old af I’ll listen to I don’t like you now a year later over fix before the 6 and I haven’t even heard it once.

The funny thing about this statement is. These rappers claim Wayne as a influence, but musicially when you hear em you hear more Future.

When Im listening to a Lil Baby, Gunna, Polo G song Im not hearing wayne at all. Im hearing Future. Only one's that lean more towards Wayne are Thug n Uzi. But then you hear Future influence in their music as well, one of em even called himself Baby Pluto for a year.

If you want to go that route, drake needed that future stimulus not the other way around:sas1::sas2:

Breh, Future did not give Drake a stimulus. If You're Reading This, It's Too Late was already huge. Future ain't have a platinum album until Drake. Ya'll make up the most ludicrous narratives. "Drake needed Future for street cred" when breh was out here with a glorified mixtape that went platinum. It was his hardest project at that point. No Future. Meanwhile, Future had his biggest project at that point that had a Drake feature on a single then he released a joint album with Drake.
