Has it yet settled in that staying inside will be our reality for the coming future?

I know it's a necessity, a measure that has to be taken in the face of a threat that cares nothing for the inconvenience it poses, but I'm only now coming to terms with the reality that this mandated "shelter in place" order that is spanning the country will now be the norm for the indefinite future. It's just hard to grasp, really. I'm used to chilling with friends on Friday and Saturday, hitting up a bar, chatting it up with a woman whose place I may have a chance at visiting when the evening ends. That ritual, for the time being, is over. Trips downtown to stroll through Copley mall are over. My only time outside is spent on groceries and fruitless hunts for disinfectants. It's just strange how abruptly our lives have changed due to this virus. :sadcam:

It's going to last through the summer and fall, possibly extending into winter. 2020 is a lost year, literally. We have had an entire year of our lives taken from us. That shyt is deep, breh. :francis:

For real. The loss of Nip, Kobe. They feel so far away, like distant memories from decades past, when both losses were less than a year ago. With WW2, at least, life in America still went on. The Nazis and Japanese were existential threats to American society, but they still felt manageable, able to be countered without upsetting our standard way of living. This just feels different, as if the world we knew is now being reshaped into something entirely alien. It just feels off. :francis:

I think the only difference is with war we know the enemy is human and we know what has to be done to handle beef with humans

This shyt here, we really cant do nothin, even if youre healthy or asymptomatic, doesnt matter if the rest of the world is indoors

Soon you gonna see people coming up with affordable clothing that can protect us if this vaccine shyt takes too long, some fitted breaking bad lookong joint

reason to be fearful though, shyt is a shung tsung out there.

PM and deputy both got it. i am scared of walking by old white people, they are the holders of that shyt but i see the public's behavior reflects the media very very casual.

there needs to be more broadcasts of pain and how easy it is to get yourself hurt out there.
