Jimmy has ghostwriters.. so what bars has HE come with?

Jim used the same logic for Push about hit records and not knowing his shyt.. so we cant use the same towards Jim? U fuhkn buggin

Does he?

Whether he does or doesn’t, it don’t even matter. Push is laughably superior to Jim lyrically either way :heh: So just say that.

Pusha’s doesnt need to revert to the ‘who are you’ angle. It does not work for pusha he is not lauded for his albums sales or fame

BX, NYC
Trendsetting = wash
Lyrics/technical skill= push
Solo catalog = push

I could argue Jim ain’t a trendsetter, it was all cam, biggaveli, and stack bundles

Jim has great albums but he has more misses/trash than push and this is coming from someone who owns jim Jones vinyls, lol.
Why would you argue that? Jim set more fashion trends than Cam. Max B and Stack were under Jim. Max B was locked up but somehow he came out up to date wearing brands he never heard of when he was free. :bryan:

Pusha T catalog is overrated as shyt I remember the critics tried to paint that 7 fukking song album as some masterpiece man please

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
jones didnt wear gay ass skinny jeans.

max really didnt start the rockstar look either. most of these trends start in the streets, and then rappers put them in the forefront. jones popularized it,

the same way yall will credit missy 20 years ago, when all she did was copy off of ms jade.

so whether or not jones got it from max, it was jones that took it there. hell, in the next thread yall will give that credit to stack. or max and stack. theyre not even from the same borrough. make up your minds.
Jones made it hot. There’s no debate. He def ain’t jack it from Max. Wayne jacked it from Jones tho.

Pusha the lesser known rapper? You mean the rapper Drake was stan'ing before his career?

Again, no one can name Jimmys records, his albums, nothing.. never touched a major tour.. sold 4000 off this last album.. but u talking bout he the bigger name? Lmaooo
If someone put a gun to my head and said name 5 Jim Jones songs, I'd just tell him to pull the trigger.

So u never heard of Certified Gangstas, G’s Up, We Fly High, Pin The Tail On The Donkey, Pop Champagne? How much u wanna bet the average person would know those songs over the standard Pusha solo song? Let’s not even get into the Dipset shyt he was featured on.

Yes he did breh and beauty supply bandannas

LOL clowns in here trying give Push credit for Bape. It was Pharrell that started that trended.

So they not from the same camp? That’s like saying Nas alone made Queensbridge PJ’s popular but Marley Marl and the Juice Crew, Mobb Deep, CNN, and Cormega were just around.

Why would you argue that? Jim set more fashion trends than Cam.

:russ: Stop it 5!!!

Cam had the whole US wearing pink. Jim Jones had a few NY cats wearing skinny beauty supply clothes

No matter how hard you try to take up from Yimmy he won’t actually claim the Bronx breh, he likes Harlem now :mjlol:

nikka this cap. Jim made True Religion popular. Chain belts and Ed Hardy. Lil Wayne was the biggest rap artist at the time and literally took Jim’s whole look. To deny Jim’s influence on style is just lying to urself at this point. U don’t have to like a person to keep it 100. And QB was dead before Nas. KRS obliterated it’s perception. That’s facts. Nas is called King QB for a reason.

So Lil Wayne changed fashion? Got it!

Nobody in my hood was wearing chain belts and Ed Hardy breh. It was ugly then and it’s ugly now. Jim Jones might have had some flex on NY but nikkas up here in the Midwest never really went for that tight jeans rockstar shyt my guy. When regular Tees went away we went straight to Ralph Lauren in 2008. Kanye??? Maybe but Definitely Not because of Yim Jones! :mjlol:

Edit: It’s a nice Saturday night breh, instead of getting some p*ssy you on the Coli talking to me about 2009 Yimmy. Mannn have a good weekend :dead:

Yes. Jim and Juelz had a major run in the mid 2000s (2005ish to 2008ish). I know in Delaware/Philly where I was growing up, they had everybody wearing that rockstar look. Also the Hollister surf shyt too. Wayne was hanging with them heavy in that time frame and took their swag. He also took Gillie's but thats another thread. So they had some direct influence themselves and then they influenced the nikka that influenced everybody else.
