I don't know about rap but Jim Jones had a huge impact on personal hygiene because he's a walking PSA for taking a shower :scust:

BB Simon, True Religion, Chrome Hearts, Nike ACG, Supreme, Ed Hardy, etc. owe Jimmy a check.

He was wearing the scarves, skulls and bones, wallet chains, v necks, bootcut jeans, muscle fit tees, baseball shirts, etc.

He was wearing shyt that has resurfaced today like 15 years ago.
..
Supreme - nah . If you was into sneaker culture/ streetwear or skating, you definitely didn’t get put on because of Jim Jones
ACG- nah I seen that shyt before Jim , ACG is even lowkey streetwear shyt
Baseball tees- lol no way
Wallet chains- nah that was some skateboard/ rock shyt you would see in the mall at hot topic or something
True Religion- maybe he helped with that but idk I didn’t care for Trues really to know
Vnecks - maybe he influenced that but that shyt is weak anyways
EdHardy - already had celebs in it either the same time as Jim or right before

I don’t see how he’s a fashion icon like y’all say.. do y’all rock any of his Vamp life shyt

It’s Hood Cap, if he really did all these things you know how many bags would’ve been offered to him ?

Seeing been doing the exact same verse for 26 years about another dudes life, so yes obviously.

Still a better rapper though.

What Pusha did though, not really Pusha cause that was Pharrell so never mind.

Let’s attribute that rockstar look to JIM/MOB

What else ?

now youre just wasting my time.

jones did more than that, and it was already listed in this thread.

but that alone is more than enough for this not to even be a conversation. sparking a complete overhaul in street fashion is all that really needs to be said, especially when youre comparing him to a guy who did virtually nothing.

I think both are wack biters of the Philly most wanted style of jayz biter. Just one gw for jayz and the other gets gw that sound like jayz .

NO. its the other way around.

jay-z stole phillys most wanted's style and ran to the bank with it before most wanted came out nationally.

people always talk about young chris, but jay did most wanted far worse.

Cool, but they gotta take what comes with it. Be it subs like this, or an asswhupping like Joe Budden. :manny:

Pusha T felt slighted, so he responded. You cats wanna argue everyone is entitled to their opinion but fail to realize the reactions to it are opinions too.

Fred.

you would have a point if anybody was actually complaining about pusha's reaction.:beli:

Easily. We not talking about lyrics here. We talking about impact. Mind you I might be a little biased because I’m from North Jersey but Dipset was a movement. Jim was the only real blood in the clique and everybody started claiming blood after him. He influenced Wayne. He ushered in the fitted shirt loose jeans era. People to this day think people from NY talk like them. Push just had bars he didn’t have any cultural impact at all
