They would've lost anyway. Sons apologists act like they didn't have a chance to push it to 7 with Amare and Diaw back in game 6. They lost 4-2. The better team won.

They won game 4 in SA and tied the series up at 2-2
If they could've gone into game 5, at home, with a full squad, I think they could've got SA that year.Hell, they almost beat them without Amare and Diaw...the equivalent of two starters.
That game 5 was maybe the most important game of the D'antoni/Nash era Suns up to that point.They'd finally gained leverage on the Spurs in a playoff series, but wasn't able to capitalize on it because of some iffy suspensions.
They win that game 5 and all the pressure would've been on SA who would've had to win the last 2 games of the series in order to advance...with the 7th and deciding game being in Phoenix.
The timing of them suspensions was the worst in NBA history IMO.Suns got fukked over on a bullshyt technicality
