This song right here.

The original version of it was Pharrell trying to sound like a ese on the track....when it first dropped, Mexicans took offense to that shyt...and then he put B Real on the track cause he has deep ties to Mexicans in prison.

His album flopped despite the success of 'happy'. That's an L :ld:

Y'all are mis-informed of what a flop is.... Albums that aren't projected to sell like crazy, and end up have modest numbers aren't flops.

there is only a 50k or so difference in what he sold first week in 2006, and what he did in 2014.

TOKYO, Taitou-Ku.
The first attempt to make Ice Cream a legit skate brand of sorts, from what I remember. Didn't work out too well.

Now that the skate market is supersaturated they're giving it another go, but I don't even know if Pharrell still runs it.:manny:

Nah, Ice Cream had a respectable team... Ice Cream went left, because TK called Lupe out on pretending to really be a black skater just to sell some records...a lot skaters took offense to that shyt, just because skateboarding isn't something you can front like you do, or get a pass just cause you run with people who do skate.

this is a cleaned up re-telling of how it went down

TK gave that roster legitimacy and a face, cause he rode for Baker.... but Pharrell couldn't really take TK's side, because he was producing for Lupe. and TK being the nikka he is, said fukk Ice Cream, kicked himself off the team...and ended up riding for Supra.

what's funny, is that Stevie Williams ( who's a fukkboy in real life) had a deal with Reebok at the time also...took Lupe's side.......but now rides for Supra, years after the fact.

Ice Cream came back as a clothing only line, and it's not really popping off...but that's more to do with that it never really took hold, despite selling a shytload of shoes.

Yea, I remember the story. I'm not saying that the team was bad, but the conclusion to that situation sounds a bit L'ish. Also, selling tees at $90 a pop to actual skaters and a (at the time) unheard of Hypebeast demographic sounds like it would've taken a miracle to monetarily keep that team afloat, therein erecting a monumental L.

Nah, Pharrell sold more shoes than any other rapper did,by a large margin... so it's not a real L.

the Ice Creams for skating, were actually priced reasonably...not exactly the best shoes for skating, but were skateable....the whole BBC/Ice Cream line wasn't really directed towards skaters, despite the people on the team rocking that shyt.

The L should rightfully be attributed to Lupe Fiasco, for getting exposed by skaters for fronting...and ruining the vision that Pharrell had for Ice Cream, cause he had no clue how serious skaters took it.
