There was Leon Issac Kennedy in "Penitentiary". But they named him "Too Sweet".
Me and a high school buddy walked a few miles to see this movie. It was mostly young brothers in the theater. This movie had us all walking out the theater like we were bad. In reality, a lot of those young brothers probably wounded up doing time, like my buddy did.

Every black person has the same skin tone. If the character is lighter they make sure they're mixed.
They don't even consider the fact that our skin tone can change as we age either.
Crayola even put out skin tone colored crayons, pencils and markers. There's no excuse.
