When you say this Era I'm assuming you mean after the Jeezy, TI, Gucci trap era....

March Madness comes to mind but that don't even feel like a trap song to be honest
yea, I wouldn't call March Madness a trap song...its just a dope song with a dope beat....I aint never met a person in real life that don't like that song fr fr...if a person don't like that song....I gotta wonder what type of shxt they catch a wave to lol

just to play devils advocate with you

how do you grade those two differently? Both have been out about the same time and have had the same impact so wouldn't it boil down to preference? Someone else could use the same line of reasoning and argue March Madness won't be remembered the same six years from now.

I can see where u coming from....im just going off pure reaction... if you can show of the WHOLE club singing JUMPMAN word for word passionately, then ill sing a diff tune....Jumpman is a good song , but doesn't feel like a special song..its just a good song, just don't feel timeless to me. But March Madness is sumn I can picture people getting live to like the first time they heard it five yrs from now.....just my 2 cents......time will tell

little rock.

i grew up listening to everything. crunk juice by lil jon & the eastside boys one of my favorite albums ever. i got the shyt for christmas in 04 with the dvd with music videos and shyt :banderas:

trap ages horribly.

it doesnt age well like 3 6 mafia shyt did. chapters 1 & 2 > any of this trap shyt thats been released the past decade.

no one is bumping/talking about migos YRN mixtape in 2016.
My bad bruh I assumed you were going to be another East coast elitist hip hop head. I agree that nobody can touch old 3-6, but that's because they're the OG's and the archetype of the sub-genre. I disagree that trap ages horribly though, it just isn't old enough to be a nostalgic sound. Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz are classic but folks hated on them back in the day too. Idk I can bump YRN and still enjoy it because it takes me back to the end of high school (2012-13). I can listen to late 2000's Gucci mixtapes and feel like I'm rediscovering shyt I heard in middle school. That early 2k crunk sound has gotten old enough to revisit, the late 2000's/2010's Trap sound is still too new to say it won't be memorable

Honestly flockaveli can be considered a classic in this era, that whole sound from that album was forward thinking and everybody is trying to emulate it.

Same with Future, Chief Keef, etc
