its easy to laugh at these people, but if u are, you're not being bright yourself.

most people came from families where they were told early on that an education is the end all be all. and that you're not doing sh1t in life unless you have a degree. what they dont tell you is what to go to school for, and how you should focus only on professions that are profitable.

what ends up happening is people like this girl, who truly believe in their hearts that all that student loan debt will be paid off because once they get that degree, life is basically cruising status after that.

smarten up folks. and restrain urselves from this type of mockery.

People gotta stop living for their parents.

Your parents are gonna grow old and die and youre gonna be by yourself one day

Its your life. Not theirs.

People gotta do whats best for them... Not blindly following their parents or society.

No sympathy for her. The hell are you going to do with a drama and communications degree?! I can understand getting in major debt for a degree as a medical doctor, dentist, lawyer, nurse, engineer, etc but some bs liberal arts degree?!

Parents, mentors, guidance counselors, etc really need to sit down with teenagers when they're juniors and seniors in high school to guide them into a career that makes sense, pays well, etc.

nah. u cant expect a young kid to know the consequences of loans. if anyone is to blame, its her parents for not helping her understand what loans mean and how she has to pay them back

I don't even know what to say about this level of stupidity. I think another mistake people with dumb degrees do, is try to actually find jobs centered around that dumb degree. She needs to put those loans into forbearance, flip her resume to reflect general business experience and apply for some management positions. Network hard at her school, shyt she might as well get her 6 figures worth. She's going to have to move onto a completely different career path that will develop into something more financially stable.
