by far one of the worst gm's ever, he was with knicks for a decade and couldn't surround ewing with supporting cast that would have won it all at least in one of those two MJ retirement seasons.

He constantly builds average teams that don't have that next level which would be a contender status, he built that mid 00s team with arenas jamison and butler, that team bench was meh, and no legit big man. The fact that grunfeld did not get fired after that mcgee nick young and other draft busts embarrassment fiasco says it all about the ownership of this team. It's the biggest nightmare for any fanbase to have the team's ownership that is clearly incompetent, the ownership which settles for mediocre product.

Tbf this draft is as bad as I can remember. Having a mid first round pick this year is the equivalent of a late first rounder in most years

Even so

If you get a rotation player on a rookie deal that's huge for 4 years with the cap rise

It's another asset

Until these dudes hit the court I'll save my statements like this...Never know draft could end up being strong.

I forgot what I poster I told this to but alot of GM think like this

Yes but the good ones aren't routinely cleaning up their own messes like Grunfeld has done

The Morris trade is a perfect example.

This guy had 2 1st round picks in the top 18 of the 2011 NBA Draft.

He took the two guys who turned out to be busts with Vesely being an obvious bust since he had no basketball skill. I'll never forget driving home that night from my internship, putting on WTOP Radio, hearing the entire Czech Embassy was at Verizon Center and screaming out loud because I knew who they were taking an hour later.

Because of that blunder we trade our 2016 pick to get a guy we could have gotten at #6 overall. For God's sake there was two Morris players we could have picked and either would have been better than the trash we got.

worst GM in the NBA. I dont want to have a debate on that. Those are his words. We cant develop players so we wont bother.

Is this dude retarded? :whatda:

Did he not see Karl Towns immediately make an impact his rookie year? :bronwtf:

Did he forget that John Wall and Bradley Beal were high draft picks? :timcant:

Markieff Morris a proven player? :saswhat:
