Or they complain about the Kliq and how they were bad for business. But they refuse the accept the fact that it was the crime that benoit committed that brought unwanted attention onto the wrestling industry and forced Vince's hand to drastically change the biz. Chris Benoit is the one that destroyed mainstream professional wrestling.

I can't just put it on benoit. A variety of factors has us where we are today. Besides the benoit tragedy we have also to blame:
-WCW going under
-Garbage booking
-Linda's political aspirations
-micromanaging promos
-WWE becoming a publicly traded company
-Society as a whole becoming a lot more pc.

This has affected main roster WWE more than pro wrestling as a whole imo. I get a lot of enjoyment and good matches out of njpw, tna, roh, lucha underground, nxt

There were plenty of scandals before Benoit, the steroid trial, sexual harassment suits, Owen's death, deaths of many wrestlers etc... To put the sole blame on Benoit is a copout. They overestimated their value as company when renewing with USA, overestimated the demand for the Network, overpaying Brock for his services and putting on way more shytty product than good. And have we already forgotten DeMott's dumbass.
