used to pray faithfully everyday then I stopped, I felt like God abandoned me for some of the wrong I've done.



now I feel like when I do pray it's hypocritical almost, like I'm only praying because I need something instead of praying because I'm simply grateful to be alive.

I lost my faith and I don't know what to do to regain it.

its hard to put in words. i think there's a force out there that keeps everything together. scientists call it the unifying theory, but that takes away the metaphysical aspect of it. there's gotta be a force (in the sense that gravity is a force) on a level we haven't even begun to understand that controls everything. you could call it God, for lack of a better term, but isn't a conscious entity, it just is.

but at that level its just faith anyway so who am i to call it

Assuming your premise, question.

Neurology basically states that due to the complex interactions occuring in the human brain the result led to man's consciousness of self.

So how is it that a 'force' infinitely more complex, a force that holds together, and defines processes of the universe, cannot also be conscious?

If anything, logically that would bring that this 'force' would be not only conscious, but much much more conscious than man.

If not, then God knows your thoughts/mind/heart so why the anxiety? What classifies a "prayer"?
