I didn't "get the help I needed" the relationship ended. I bring awareness to bring balance. DV isn't something that only affects women; they're initatiors as well.It isn't normal behaviour for a woman to repeatedly beat a man. If it was you wouldn't have these awareness meetings or gotten the help you needed.

Yeah my mom used to beat the shyt out of me. Ice cube trays, toilet plungers, closed fist punches and anything you could think of. That wasn't discipline though, it was straight up abuse and she did it up until the week I left her at 16. She tried to hit me with a dustpan one day and I decided I had enough. I grabbed it from her mid swing and flung it across the house. shyt must have bounced off of every piece of furniture in the house. I grabbed her by the hands and told her to stop hitting me. She looked me straight in the eyes and said to me "What are you gonna do, hit me? 
" I backed off and she then proceeded to beat the shyt out of me.
What a truly wicked woman she was. I haven't seen that devil in about 2.5 years. It's always the holiest ones that act the most devilish.

I would NEVER as a man allow a woman to just up and hit me. I'm not one to champion men beating women but I've seen a recent uptick in the last 5 or so years of women putting hands on men just for the fukk of it. Like straight punching and kicking a dude for no reason (no GOOD reason)
My wife decided to test me one day last year while we were playing Cards. She'd never played Rummi before so I was teaching her, after she'd claimed she'd learned we started playing for real and I was kicking her ass. She called herself getting "play mad" and took the deck and hit me RIGHT between the eyes with a full fukking deck of cards.(hurt like fukk) Thankfully I didn't completely black out and all I did was grab her pull her off the bed, pin her on the ground while yelling "DON'T YOU EVER DO NO STUPID shyt LIKE THAT AGAIN!!"
Needless to say, she learned her lesson...
As far as men beating women my 30 year old cousin has been in love and chasing after the same man for the last 15 years. This is a nikka who has TEN kids, been to jail multiple times, stabbed in gang fights, shot at, lays around and smokes weed all day and ends every sentence with "Bruh".
So she married this nikka
Got pregnant and apparently he's been beating her ass off and in for the past two years of their marriage. He beat her while she was pregnant and she put him in jail. He got out, they got BACK together and he promptly began beating her ass again
...
That's on her though, obviously it's something she covets about them ass whippings I suppose....
Men should respect women and not put hands on them but at the SAME DAMN TIME women should make sure that they respect men and don't put hands on them thinking that they have some kind of " female pass" to physically assault a male because their supposedly the "weaker" sex....

yeah i do.....my neighbor/neighborhood female friend. Constant Infidelity on her and her old man part. Reason i know this is because they actually be outside going at it, couple of time i had to intervene.
(enough for me to get a charge for beating the muthafukking bricks off this nikka) she leaves him for about a week, goes right back to fukking with the old dumbass, cant keep a job fake 2 chainz looking ass nikka, it doesnt make any sense to me, why go or rather be in a relationship where a man is constantly placing hands and sometimes feet on. Had to explain to her what love is..........and in one ear out the fukking other.

I was 18 and it was an ex (the guy i lost my virginity to
) and he was having a bad day and i guess.. idk. we were laying in bed and I was texting on my phone and the noise from the buttons were annoying him. He was being an a$$hole about it and when I didnt stop texting he slapped me so I slapped him back 
And then we started fighting. he didnt legit hit me like a nygga but he was choking me out
and saying a bunch of hurtful things like "you better be glad your not dead on my floor right now..." 
. I was fighting dude with all of my might and he was throwing me around and pushing me and slamming me down. I will never forget it.
