I took out a title loan once and...I borrowed $2500 and paid back about double that. The thing that’s terrible is let’s say you borrow $2500 and agree to pay it off over the course of 2 years...if after year one you already paid them $3000 and you fall on hard times, they can still take your car because all that $3000 you paid didn’t go towards the principal. They have been made more than whole in reality but according to the contract you’ve only really paid them back $1500.
I dont think even the mafia charges the interest rates that these payday loan companies do

No, but I used to want to. And I went from a high paying job in my mid twenties and the company suddenly closed and gave us little in severance. I was too leery of everything I read online so I didn’t apply. And I had a friend who was in medical school get arrested over not paying one back. That scared the shyt out of me. They prey on students in many situations. I found out it was common for med and law students to take out high interest loans to get them low paying summer internships.

Yeah I use to setup fake businesses and make my own paystubs to get them, then register the business number on 411 so they can look it up, and sometimes they would call and I would verify my own unemployment, I would go in person and apply to ones online, got like 10,000 in about a week , never paid any of that shyt back, I used prepaid cards for them to wire funds to, so they could never debit the account, which is why they require brick and mortar banks, because I was tearing they ass out the frame for years

I don't borrow money from people I know. A quick rule for life is never deal with debt and family, friends, or partners. Don't lend them money and don't borrow it. I lost a childhood friend over $1300. He fell on hard times and asked for it. He'll probably duck me for the rest of our days on this earth now because the kind of people that have to ask people they know for personal loans aren't the kind that's likely to be able to afford to pay it back. If I had to do it all over again I would have just told him he could keep it.Hell no.
