that's bold as shyt! Seems like you're a breh that knows what he wants

It's just age and experience I guess. I've worked before at places where I was completely miserable as soon as I walk through the door. You just can't live your life like that, especially if you're putting in big hours at work. It seeps into other aspects of your life.

Good work environment is #1 for me, even more important than salary. I'm with a group that I really enjoy, my work is fulfilling, lot of brehs on my team... it'd take a lot for me to make a move.

Had an interview and I stayed up all night getting my resume right, this was before everything was submitted online. My printer ran out of ink the day of the interview and I had to get it printed at Kinko's. That printer fukked up the formatting but I didn't notice until I glanced at the copy in the managers hand during the interview. I mean it was fukked up bad and I was in there trying to talk about how I was detail oriented. I knew i fukked that all the way up and locked up during the interview.

I drove home :to: the entire way.

I have. Thing about interviewers is they are all looking for different things. Some just want short, concise answers and others want you to go into detail. Frustrating, even after practicing for days.

Great thing about it tho, is every time I fukked up one interview, I ended up acing one for a better job. Just keep looking.

Yes it was actually one of the few times I went and “studied” my answers for an interview
One of the questions was an exact question I had prepared for and had a great response for.

I started to answer and forgot my rehearsed answer then my mind just went blank and I couldn’t find the words. Interviewer ended up helping me find the words I was trying to say... I didn’t get an offer :manny:

I’ve stopped preparing that hard for interviews and haven’t gotten denied a job offer since

This is EXACTLY what happened! Prepared and prepared and had rehearsed answers and then my mind couldn't find the words. Just ________.

Yup in 2013, I had a phone interview for an ad sales position with a radio station. I wouldn't say I was knocking it out the park, but I was doing well. Then this exchange happened.

Interviewers: So Motife, you aren't from the area, how would you go about finding leads?

Me
: I would uhh, I would uhh, hmmm, I would... *This went on for at least a minute*
*after like 90 seconds I put the phone on mute and said "nikka U BLOWING THIS shyt*

Interviewers: Hello? Hello?

Me
: *unmutes* Yes I'm sorry
Interviewers: Let's move on to the next question

I finished the interview solid, but I knew I wasn't getting the job after that exchange lol

I've told that story many times, (1) because it's funny and (2) to show how you have to be prepared and just RELAX. I've had a couple bad interviews, you just learn from the mistakes and go from there

It’s better to bullshyt on a tangent than to freeze with no response
I never froze like that but I have said “I don’t know” plenty of times to technical questions and still got jobs
I don’t think that works for behavioral questions tho, it’s better to ramble if you got nothing since you should be able to answer every behavioral question in theory
