I remember this internship interview I had during college. The interviewer had a bit of an attitude when he said " you may want to be writing this down" as he was talking. I got the job and the dude was indeed a dikk just as the interview indicated. They ended up not bringing me on full-time after the internship ended. The person I am now would walk out of any interview at the hint of any disrespect and be like " this isn't going to work". But you put up with things when you are in school\fresh out of school and desperate

That's what I would suggest anyone do. That particular day for me was a self test more than anything. Plus when they're acting funny and being an a$$hole on an interview they have no intention of taking you on anyway.

I used to be this way but i found that the over prepping made me nervous. My trick:

- Study up on the position enough to answer a few questions. Come off a knowledgable not an expert

- dont try to impress anyone. Thats a GP i follow....the person across the table is just some rando that works a company you like. Thats it. You dont suck up the cashier at you favorite store nor do you clamp up when you speak to them. Keep that same energy during the interview

- dont think of it as an interview. Its a opportunity to meet someone you'll probably never see again. A chance to make a new first impression in a time where true first impressions are rare. This enthusiastic vibe will work your favor. Im pretty antisocial but my recent interviewer in my current job always that i got my twin to do my job interview:francis:

- enjoy your time. Some offices are really nice or are in gorgeous areas. Other offices offer you refreshments. Even when my interview was a bust, i still enjoyed the trip.

- rub a few out an hour before
:russ: Repped some real gems in here

I give few interviews every now and then, mostly technical so you know the other dude is nervous as fukk

The thing I'm looking for mostly is someone who can juelz their way through a question without rambling......I hate rambling

Last dude I interviewed I hit him with a doozy.....he said, "thats a good question and I want to give you an answer, not just any answer but the RIGHT answer. Can I gather my thoughts for a bit and we come back to that one?"

I was like :obama: I didn't even bother coming back to the question

I hired a guy once cuz I asked him one of those cliche questions and he said something like

You ever get a real answer out these dumb ass questions.

I told him nah to be real I only pay attention when someone throws me off ( like he just did)

we chopped it for a bit

ended up being on of my best employees

Happened to me about a week ago. Hated myself for it too. They asked me my strengths and weakness and I said the same thing for both like a jackass. Ended up getting an email like 2 days ago saying they found someone else but I didnt really want that shyt anyway it was for a lead position or some shyt.
