i didn't read ur entire post outside of the first 3 sentences (lazy today) and yes, I've listened to years of his stuff since 2005 (podcast, lectures, debates, documentaries) and can honestly say I don't really recall disagreeing with him on anything.

I'm trying to think of just 1 thing but i can't

breh is usually spot on and sincere

no matter how controversial

Ah, I would say it's more likely the case that he is airing towards reason than absurdity if I'm being honest so I can see your position based on what you claim to have seen of him. And I don't think he is a bad faith actor, maybe a bit ego driven, but I wouldn't expect him to just lie. I share disagreements with him on a formal level so it's not that big of a deal, thus I see little of his content these days.

And now that you mention it, my actual introduction to him was debates, not his podcast, I guess I just didn't recognize him as the figure he is now, more just a guy that represented atheism in debates.

Couldn't find a single thing I disagreed with here. Seemed pretty reasonable. The Coli won't like it though. His thoughts on the 2020 ish

I used to think we could be saved. And one day the violence and despair would end. I used to be really concerned about and I was part of a group called “ten point coalition” we would go to different hoods. I would talk to people about ending the violence. Try to end beefs. Kinda likes peacemaker. I felt it as a duty to help out the younger black men from going to prison like I did. But then I had a gun pointed at me I got kicked off the block. So I said fukk it. shyt won’t change. I only worry about my family now. The hood will be the hood and it Will never end. Gangs, drugs, single parents, poverty, police brutality, deaths. You can go to the hood in 3022 and it will be the same.

LOL Now I did see this, and I don't think I found agreement with anything he said here, but I should note, this is because I don't think his take on it would be the same if this were jewish people instead of black people, essentially I don't believe he would hold similarly with a few variables changed and if I remember correctly, I think once again his take was very surface level. This is why I don't care for the average human though, the lack of empathy and with that the inability to remain consistent when drawing hypotheticals.

But I have not seen this in a while, and would have to go through it again before forming any concrete points on it as I can't even completely recall what he said on the topic, I just don't expect people that aren't black to understand and properly empathize with black issues and vice versa. You see it with veganism, the average human's inability to draw any empathy with animals in the agricultural industry and all of a sudden are very "logical" when it comes to debates on the topic but when we start replacing variables, arguments change.

TLDR: From what I can barely recall, essentially, his threshold for what is injustice, racist, etc., towards black people would not be similar if we replaced black people with jewish people. Also I think his own subreddit was taking issue with that video and that was rarity beforehand.

Yeah, I used to be hard core quantitative. If you can’t measure it, what’s the point? Now, I’m the opposite. Numbers can mislead, and can’t answer basic why questions. Really, mixed methods should be applied in most situations

I used to be hardcore into drinking and drugs. Now, I think they are terrible things. My younger self never would have thought I’d ever say that

Why do you like shytting on atheists? :mjlol: I shyt on atheists because I think most are lazy and are essentially dunking on low hanging fruit but I'm also a contrarian a times, to be fair. I'm just wondering where you stand on it, if you can answer briefly on the matter.

I had a whole thread about it back on :hamster:.

Basically, (militant) atheism is even less logical than theism. They try to convince you something doesn't exist....... BUT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS!!!!

I see, I take issue with the burden shrugging. Even the SEP highlights this:

This generates the following definition: atheism is the psychological state of lacking the belief that God exists. In philosophy, however, and more specifically in the philosophy of religion, the term “atheism” is standardly used to refer to the proposition that God does not exist (or, more broadly, to the proposition that there are no gods). Thus, to be an atheist on this definition, it does not suffice to suspend judgment on whether there is a God, even though that implies a lack of theistic belief. Instead, one must deny that God exists.

Atheism and Agnosticism (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy)

But I have no problem with the political movement, especially in America.

Yeah, I actually don't care for Sam Harris, I see his appeal, and don't get me wrong, he is preferable to the average person when it comes to argumentation but he is pretty surface level, imo. If want examples, just take a trip through philosophy boards. :mjlol:

:ohhh: Can u post some
