The people who don't watch regular season probably have no vested interest and nothing in particular they are looking for information on. I like to watch how specific teams go up against each other and how it plays out. I like to watch specific players trying to go at each other. Figure out what you think the outcome is and watch it play out and you'll have an interest in every game and matchup

Yeah...it only lasting 5 games doesn't change the fact that they still rivals meeting for 3 straight Finals.
Even the shyt teams are fun to watch in the nba though. They can actually be competitive. A lot of nfl teams play poor football that just isnt fun to watch.

thats a massive reach, national TV basketball was at an all time low quality wise, and thats even factoring in that they got so many "fringe contender" status squads. I remember when they'd have matchups like Clippers and Blazers (you can insert any team the Clippers played) or somebody and it'd be a snoozer by mid 2nd quarter. And those were the more dynamic offenses, games like Lakers-Kings were only fun if you had vested interest in the players, which I did in a few Lakers youngins, but the issue with the Lakers was the repetitive storylines, I must've watched like 3 or 4 straight LAL games where they were up going into the 4th, sometimes with minutes left by 10+ and their defense would go to absolute shyt. And while that's interesting in DOSES, it just happened too often.
The Christmas games were fukking awful aside from the GSW-CLE games, they gotta stop scheduling the fukking Knicks during openers, and IDK, the last month of basketball aside from Chicago, Indiana, and Miami felt pretty strange. GSW returned to a force WITHOUT KD and looked stronger than ever, Denver and Westbrook were fun to watch, but on the other end, you were left with more than a few flopping squads like the Wolves and Knicks, the Wizards and Raptors basically made no ground on the top 2 spots in the East race, Boston clearly looked inferior to a trying Cleveland squad, but they just chose to sit on their hands as much as possible. Forgot about 6ers and Suns taking the rest of the year off after their respective franchise player shined for a brief period
So its like you got at best, 1/3rd of the league will be truly interesting for a prolonged amount of time, and another third might have some 15 minutes of fame. But your Knicks, Hawks, Magic, Jazz, formerly the Clips and Lakers, Dallas, even the Wolves and Suns, teams like this weren't a consistently good draw, even if they had game changing star players because of how shyt the program was
