all of my top 5 are 90's emcees. Hip hop stopped getting better after that decade.

I was around for 100% of both of their runs.

Neither one was the best rapper ever while alive.

Big is okay. Pac is okay. But THE BEST?

Nope

Since they died they get that death bump to where you can't critique them anymore, so I just let people talk when they start with the GOAT shyt.

But yeah. Classic Hip Hop actually ended already so the chances of a new Rakim or a new Cube or a new Wu Tang are about as good as a new Smokey Robinson or a new Aretha.

So that's sad. Hip Hop came and went and peaked out in the 90s. I always thought Rap would continue to develop.

I definitely agree that Pac and Big should not be the unsurpassable GOATs. Seeing as how they were little more than decent
