There are trade-offs. The earlier you have them, the sooner you can get them off your back so you can retire early. You also have more energy to take care them when you're young as opposed to when you're :flabbynsick:. When you're young, you're more able to relate to them, because it's easier to remember what it was like being young and under supervision. Being older, you run the risk of being out-of-touch or old-fashioned, making those teenage years really painful. Finally, your chances of seeing your grand-kids or great-grand kids improves significantly.

yeah imma have a kid at 22 so i can play with my imaginary future grand children at like 48 :patrice:

:camby: I hate when people say that. And having kids younger does not mean u stop being a parent when they leave the house. U are a parent for life b. And hopefully u will make sure your kids are straight well into their 20s, u know like other cultures do to keep that wealth building every generation.

Look breh, you can't say that retirement won't easier if your children are financial independent sooner than later, you just can't. What I'm saying comes from my own Dad, he told us how he had us later than most of his friends his age. Later in life their kids were getting married and starting their families when he was still paying for our college. So its not like I'm come from a culture, where they just toss you out into the street when you reach 18.

I didn't suggest having kids at 22, but maybe 25-29 would be a good time to start. It's not mandate or anything, and i know life just doesn't work out that way for everyone, but i seems it's better to get it out the way sooner than later :yeshrug:

I don't know b. I'm also going by people in my family and the ones who waited to have kids to focus on their career and get their money up are doing better financially than the ones who started families before having higher incomes. It's much harder to increase your income, get degrees and take career risks if you already have 1-2 kids you are responsible for.

Also, as a man, I feel there is no reason to having kids in my 20s. I understand a woman wanting a kid before 30 but men aren't on the same biological clock as a woman.

I feel you breh, I feel 28 or 29 is the sweet spot assuming you went to college, graduated 22-23 and went to grad school or started working. By that time, the person should have saved enough or should be in place to start earning enough to support a family.

If youve attained your masters and phd in whatever field, there's surely a good chance youre in financial purgatory. According to some, being financially sound is a prerequisite to having children. They believe a sperm and egg needs the last three years tax return in order to complete the transaction. Ad they practice such odd prejudices, the poor folks don't have such hangups.

The perfect time to have kids is no goofier than people who are waiting for the perfect mate.

I had that same thought too. On campus you see grad students from asia with a families living off TA and research money, and it doesn't appear that they're suffering. However, I would be lying to myself if I didn't think having some money saved up and a steady income in place would a good thing before starting a family. There's a middle ground somewhere.

They are getting research money because their thesis may hsve some value to someone. The painful truth is you have an over and under educated populace. The government is financing their delusions of grandeur and not getting anything back right away. The same people who are shunning children will have the indebted slaves aka prison industrial complex to take care of them. The economy is messy for a reason.

I agree with sterilization because people stay having kids they can't take care of or afford. I don't have any kids :blessed: yet but I feel I would need to be financially, mentally and all the other "ally"' ready for it.
I just saw this the other day and I'm :snoop:

23-Year-Old Single Mom Of 5 Who Claimed She Found An ‘Abandoned Baby’ Admits To Being The Mother

This chick has 6 kids at 23yrs old. I blame both her and the nikkas she slept with.
