$65k isn’t a ton of money to travel regularly, but easier to replace the pay if you took unpaid leave.

I work in the medical field. It aint a option, PTO is standardized at my company.
For a job to actually stick to a one year minimum before you get any PTO, that’s got to be a bottom of the barrel position. You get PTO working at the damn gas station! Most will let you borrow against your future time for the year if you haven’t actually earned it yet.
Or they could do what nikkas do at my facilities, use the point system as vacation and when all else fails abuse FMLA.
