County government in Miami. It's a council so we only get 1 rep out of the 5 for the Zoning Board. And that bytch don't even live in our neighborhood because she covers 2 areas.

Then the Commissioner Board has 13 members and we only get 1 rep there too.

This shyt is fukked. We're thinking about Incorporating into a City or becoming a Town

Yeah...I got no connects. Probably why I lost.

But I can just blast email everyone and the media. If something is well-written and repeated they'll pay attention.

im a recent grad and trying to get a full-time job as a journalist (horrible time ) but i did student journalism and some freelance. if they get enough of these and sense theres a real conflict between residents and the county government theyll want to write a story on it

i would also email the people who wrote these stories about adjacent issues, they should either be interested in covering it because its their beat or try to get find else to cover it. if you have clips from the zoom town hall meetings, email exchanges etc include those too

Bro i used intern in constituent services for my local Legislative in college, this aint it.

These ppl can get hundreds of emails a day. You have to stand, use snail mail directly to their office. Flood that shyt. Write a template, sign it, and copy hundreds. It would be best if you had like 10 other ppl to c/s so it gives the illusion that theres a mob of angry citizens. Hundreds of letters with you name on it looks crazy.

The gays did it for Marriage Equality and I was forced to log each one in the system for weeks. Take it to the next level by sending edible arrangements en masse with your message.... this is expensive though.

I can tell you for a fact this is 100% true. It escalates things internally in a office and forces time allocation to the issue

That said, the people could be wrong here... I’ve seen similar cases here in California where greedy bigoted communities opposed development in order to maintain or increase their property value... and keep certain “elements” out.
Don’t know enough to form an opinion on this dispute.

Its not such a novel idea. A large contingent of America was (and still is) pushing toward that ideal as late as the dem primary. Unfortunately there are too many shills and stooges who resisted doing the right thing during primaries.
