Most ps4 games take like 1-3 minutes before you can launch. Xbox one you have to wait for the entire install to boot it up.

Yes, you can do that. On PS4 at least... not sure about Xbox

I should just be able able to buy an game and play it out the box... I don't care about stability of the game/system or whatever nonsense somebody is gonna use to justify this.. That's why we had the OPTION of installing our games last gen.. It shouldn't be mandatory and take this long. fukk is Microsoft thinking?.. One of the many things I hate about The xone.

some games late last gen were requiring installs. optical discs are just too slow for the needs of modern games

At least on the PS4 the installs are pretty quick; the day one patches are brutal though.
