For real man. Ain’t no creativity anymore
Yep, its like in the 70s you had people who honed their craft, mastered their skills and most importantly did it because they loved to create music and that competition raised the bar for everyone because even people who were "wack" back then have godlike talent compared to now. The old R&B wave got pimped into the 80s and 90s video star era where it became about looks and making money but the people involved were still talented before the dregs of that got whored again and you get these modern "stars" that can't even hold a note but look good and sell aspirational lifestyles to the masses.
Rap was the same as they flipped that janky old 90s tech with tiny recording limits and buffers into creating some of the illest jams because they'd listen to a record again and again and again to crate something dope. Generation that was raised on that did what they could but social media and fronting came along with everyone wanting to be famous without having a talent or putting in the grind and here we are....
Its all about motivation as that drives the art and this new school just want to get paid and look fly PRIMARY when that shyt is a side effect of the skills. Cart is in the front of the horse and they wonder why they ain't getting no where with their fast food music.
shyts disgusting.
