Stephen A always makes a mountain out of a molehill. Lloyd Pierce got fired because he's a terrible coach. It has nothing to do with him being outspoken. Who cares if he had a child recently?

C00NS like Stephen A. Smith always go irrationally Fake Militant.

Just like he tried to say that Prescott, Wilson, and Watson are being disrespected by their teams because they're Black.

But gloss over the fact that Carson Wentz and Tom Brady also had the same problems with the Eagles and Patriots.

ATL…overly
what i mean is they unnecessarily spent.. low key they kinda hit on all there young guys

:mjlol: no we didn’t

Huerter is an 8th man on a legit NBA playoff team. He’s mentally and physically soft

Cam has untapped potential but isn’t close to being a consistent piece. He’s hit or miss on offense

Hunter was on track to be one of our more better players prior to getting injured

JC is a solid PF, not an All Star but capable of 20/10. Should be the 4th guy on a high level playoff team

Trae is the All Star and the big talent but his decision making, especially late in games, is high key terrible

As for LP, much love for the brother but it was time for a change

When it comes to missing out on drafting certain players, every team in the league has their share of missed opportunities. Thus why people say Hindsight is 20/20. But the Hawks especially have been in the position to grab some superstars right on their laps that everyone knew would be stars and they passed up on them to grab someone else.
  1. Ya'll GM passed up on Chris Paul to go after Marvin freakin Williams was the one that i will always laugh at.
  2. Picking Shelden Williams instead of Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay, Rajon Rondo or Kyle Lowry was also dumb but not quite as bad as the first one.
The Luka trade... I'll say... I dont agree with it but i get it. Both players were predicted to be stars and your GM saw an opportunity to grab one of the projected stars AND still be able to get a draft pick from the MAVS who were gonna suck anyway so it would be another high draft pick. You got DeAndre Hunder (whom i really like) and Cam Reddish (Who many think can be a star but i doubt it so we'll see). Jury's still out in the sense that yeah you should have picked Luka but it's not like you got robbed or anything.
Is that the guy ya'll drafted this year?

I havent seen him yet but then again i probably watched 4 hawks games this year and 2 were because they were playing my team (Heat) and i wanna say one was preseason. I must say i like this little roster especially that Hunter guy. Some of my fellow Heat fans have been looking at the possibility of getting John Collins and pairing him up with Bam Adebayo in the front court.
THinking of Bam at the 5 and Collins in a Heat uniform as a stretch 4 ...

it was all about which they thought would be a better "cultural fit" for the city and the team. PERIOD. Hawks blatantly try and appease their black fanbase to the point it skews basketball decision such as this.

You go to Hawks games and they only have rappers perform at halftime. Coaching staff was all black basically (I aint got no problems with that) but you can't be playing social politics 24/7 esp when it gets in the way of winning. If we had Luka we would be a 3rd or 4th seed right now in the East.

I find all this conversation about Pierce being fired to be weird as hell. Minnesota replaced their coach with an outsider on a multi-year deal and barely a word spoken on it, and the media treats the Hawks pretty much the same way they treat the Timberwolves coverage-wise any other time :patrice:

breh didn't get the job done and it was time for a change, that's it. Move on :francis:

I agree with the rap part. It was always cringe to me how they got Gucci performing at half-time. Like damn, it's a lot of kids in here.

Yep figure this would come out. It was no secret Trae and Pierce didn’t like each other. And “picked on” is more than likely Pierce telling Reddish to stop being a low motor underachiever
