@Malta

From me:
Not true, Tavares has better BBIQ and fundamentals. Gobert is younger, more explosive, more skilled and has been playing the since he was a kid while Edy has been playing the game since 17 y.o. Here is something to remember. Edy has improved tremendously every year. Gobert had two years in France where he did not improve at all. I told you this then and I will continue to say it, Tavares is a better prospect. Better fundamentals, better BBIQ, better shooting touch and more length, strength and size as well. Watch out, he might develop a jumpshot in the NBA.

I stand by what I said. Edy got a lot of potential but is raw as fukk. No where did I say Edy was better than Gobert. But his talent is good.

He's basically a rich man's Ish. Those two were college teammates in Wake Forest too

Yea I know,Ish was hurt most of that second year which is how Jeff blew up,he had the ball in his hands majority of the time.

Jeff is only a bit much better than ISH to me because he can shoot,ISH is faster and a better passer IMO

I mean if he returns back to Atl he gotta know he prolly coming off the bench, where as in Philly he can start there and split minutes with ISH who also was his teammate at Wake
He sonned ish multiple times this season. I think the good thing about Teague for the sixers is he wouldnt hurt simmons development as he is a little too unselfish at times.

Word is Ish isn't really wanted back in Philadelphia. Jeff is starting next year for us if he's here.

Nerlens will be a perennial all star as early as next season. I don't like trading a young big with as much potential as Nerlens (remember he was the #1 pick if he didn't get hurt)

Ish problem is skills, mentality to play hero ball and he don't run an offense. Ish reminds me of Speedy Claxton. Jeff more like Kevin Johnson without the killer aggressiveness KJ had but Jeff plays better D.

It's a bad trade. Hawks need a wing scorer, neither team in the Finals or in the Conference Finals was there b/c of post play. How do you trade an All Star caliber PG for a rotational big? Bud and his do boy Wes Wilcox are on some bullshyt if this happens.

BTW, Noel & Teague's contracts don't event match so there would have to be other players involved to make it work. Bad trade if this goes down

Ya'll gotta get rid of Teague and Horford, you likely wont get anything if Horford walks so if you have to settle on a prospect for Teague you could do a lot worse than Noel.

This is why I didn't think they would trade him, he's not hype and fluff like Okafor, he's actually good.

:whoa:

Don't you think Teague has reached his peak as a Hawk, though? I feel like the Hawks have pretty much gotten all that they will get out of him....if you can trade him for a younger player who also fills a major need, then I think you got to do that. A front court of Noel/Horford/Sap is dynamite and would really allow Sap to open up his game. Recall how many blocks just those two (Sap/Al) had in the playoffs this year, then add Noel to that mix. I disagree with your assessment of him as a "rotational" guy, though, the kid has started 133 of the 142 total NBA games he's ever played.

Has Teague peaked? Yes

Sap isn't a three tho and you can't make this move with expectation that Sap is going to be an effective three for us. On this team Noel isn't starting (provided Horford comes back), he'd be the first big off the bench.

EDIT: even if you get rid of Sap or Horford, Noel still makes sense. But IMO, it makes the MOST sense to have all three.

Sidenote: I've watched Noel mature as a player pretty closely, and he's just really getting started to showcase what he can do at the pro level. I think that in a system like Bud's, he would actually mature as a player. Remember, for his entire career all he's ever known is a losing culture. He could potentially turn into an entirely different player. And he's still mad young. (I wouldn't say I "know him", but he'd recognize my face and say "whattup " when I'd see him in Center City. I worked at Two Liberty and almost all the Sixers players live there. Used to see the homie Thad Young all the time, too, before him and his wiz moved out on Conshohocken. Thad is mad cool, one of the coolest NBA players there is. Iggy used to live there, too...hell, Cole Hamels had the entire penthouse top floor before he got married and had a kid and moved out. That jawn was laid, too... :wow: ).

I like Noel and think he could be a GREAT defensive player and maybe this is the best we can get, but Sap isn't going anywhere (he was by far the best Hawk) and Horford is likely to resign. I don't see him starting in that lineup and that means the Hawks will still need to get a starting caliber 3 and probably a starting SG (Korver can't start on this team next yr) IMO let Bazemore walk, he won't be worth the money he commands on the open market

Stop it slime, we not moving Al. shyt everything we do is build around him. Without him, we back to wack defense and chucking threes. Al is critical for us. Al is what you call a defenders best friend. He defends space extremely well. Always is in the right spot defensively, has elite BBIQ and makes defenders around him look way better than they are defensively.

Nothing about this move is phenomenal. If it was for Jah I'd agree with you and I'd be a lot more excited. You're trading an All Star starting PG for a rotational big, who while he is great defensively, can't score. And the Hawks will make every attempt to resign Horford.

My logic is that part of the reason the Hawks took a step back is because the offense got worse, we're not becoming a better offensive team with this move, we're taking another step back
Lol at you thinking Okafor is better. He got post moves but his iq is really lacking and his lateral quickness is terrible. Noel can play with either Millsap or horford. Gives u tons of flexibility to address scoring on the wings where we need the most help. shyt, you can go after Durant if you don't want to sign horford.

Noel is probably the best talent you can get for Teague at this time.

Look I know you loyal to your boy and I respect it but ya'll gotta let that Al Horford shyt go

But Bud doesn't want to blow it up...Al Horford for the Hawks now is the exact same scenario with Joe Johnson from 2010 when we paid him like a superstar and got criticized for it. The Hawks like Al a lot, Al likes Atlanta and were gonna give him the max (and most likely get criticized for it). I'm not happy if that's the decision we make but I understand that Bud values continuity and Al is a guy Bud sees as part of the solution. Bud is willing to get rid of Teague tho and a prospect like Noel could be intriguing, but the last young prospect the Hawks brought in from a losing team didn't play much last yr (ie. Hardaway Jr, Tim)

Ish went at him as well when he got minutes,I'm not saying Ish is better, just Teague is very dissapointing, shyt Simmons a fukk around and be pushing the ball with Teague out there
