HBCU’s are getting battered by Trump research cuts. Howard lost 11 million, NC A&T has lost 24 million and HBCU’s have lost 300 million since March.

Thread title states $140 million from HBCU's(plural).

This guy is taking away $510 million just from Brown. :francis:

A BILLION just from Cornell:picard:

Hes undoubtedly a racist that has a low opinion of Black people but He's not just hitting "Black" academia, that aint even his main focus
Nobody is saying he is JUST doing anything. They’re just pointing out his specific targeting of black people (see HBCUs) via his DEI initiatives.

They’re obviously not his only target, but as a site (allegedly) full of black people, these hit closest to home.

I’m sure media is doing a much better job of covering these types of issues at Ivy League institutions

We are both living in the same country with the same government.

:mjlol:

Trying to act like your community is not experiencing white supremacy because you didn’t vote is a dumb Ass take…

You haven’t removed yourself from a white supremacist government… but you’re talking to me like I’m somehow allowing myself to be subject to it… you are too

:mjlol:

Internet militancy yall

Universities of all kinds will have to slash administrative costs and focus funding on the main reason people are there: studying.

As long as students have equipment and instructors, the colleges will be fine. Trump's presidency is a reminder that the federal government when run by a white supremacist can be an enemy rather than a friend to black people. We can't ever assume that the federal government will be on our side especially when so many white people have the power to influence it.

These HBCUs will need to strengthen relationships with local municipal and state non profits and secure funding for outreach programs and scholarships for students but strictly maintain focus on the quality of the education people get. Universities in general are using a lot of bells and whistles(like stadiums and student lounges and fat pay packages) to attract wealthy families to the institutions. That kind of stuff doesn't make good students who will go on to become successful alumni who give back. What students remember is the friends they made and the support they got from the faculty. All that other stuff is just extra.

I hope this is a lesson for schools everywhere that they cant completely rely on the fed government anymore. They didn't in the early days, and they don't have to now. The money they would get from the government when a non racist is in charge should be allocated to an emergency fund for incase this kind of thing happens again.

reprimanding you for not voting?

You must have forgot it was you reprimanding me for voting.

I was just clowning you for internet militancy and not doing anything for the community. If you were actual active in the community I would have nothing to say.

Not voting because you militant about your shyt is ok.

Not doing anything other than not voting is just white supremacist enabling while patting yourself on the back.

:hubie:

You’re so worried about white suprancy that your only way of opposing it is not voting… you might as well just be white. You ain’t actively helping our side

:francis:

What black programs are you actively supporting in your community? Bet you won’t answer.
