That's one thing I noticed when I was out there, yall nikkas got a lot of state schools and it seemed like I met a lot of hood nikkas who had went to a college at least for a little bit. The way my dude out there made it seem was like anybody out there who is a resident and wants to go can do it really easy and for the low.

And I probably won't fukk with homecoming. I did go to that joint Douglass/Washington reunion they had last month tho. I got my fill of the school shyt from that.

Yeah it was straight. 12 was hating, but we still put on.

Kind of, but not really, a lot of cats attempt college....but most don't make it out of freshmen / sophomore year. And a ton of people at JC's are in remedial english and math classes. I'm talking damn near esl english classes and basic arithmetic.

As far as funding, JC's are free for residents. There's a fee waiver which makes tuition free. Cal States and UC's also get a lot of aid. I only had to come out of pocket $400 for my tuition. Everything else was paid by fasfa....

So yeah theoretically anyone who's a resident and wants to go school can go for practically nothing, but most people just flunk out, party or life happens

It's useless to complain about the inevitable/try to stall it.

How about you actually explain your problem with my post instead of just negging me.
And you all need to face it, the "black unity" you all want to achieve which includes the prevalence of HBCU's is impossible to achieve in modern society so you should stop complaining about it and switch gears to what is plausible.
Are you telling me it's rational to expect most black people to self "segregate" themselves after growing up in an integrated society?
To expect that they put the same value on blackness as Coli posters?
To dislike being around white people as much?
HBCU's will continue to die and that's the natural evolution of things regardless of how you feel about it and I'm not saying that's a good thing just saying that it is what it is.
And just because a school isn't a black school that doesn't mean the alternative is a white school, that's just your negativity speaking.
