He should focus on producing content behind the scenes. THats what made that 30 for 30 series so great.

This. I didn't watch one second of his show, and I consider myself a fan of his.

If he's so intent on being 'seen', just put cameras in his studio and put his podcasts on video.

actually...to correct myself, maybe Simmons can still do documentary types of things with HBO instead...but the weekly show thing isn't gonna work. Nobody's watching HBO for that.
