lol at tyson being ready to fight when he wobbles to his feet with his mouthpiece hanging stupidly out of his mouth and one eye closed. buster had a sick baby moms and a mom who had suddenly died. he had no fear esp of a tyson who didnt train properly. buster got KD, pounded his fist on the canvas because he was careless, got his ass up cleareyed ready to fight regardless of the so called long count.

After Buster got up, he pushed Mike to the ropes and started whooping his ass.........he was far from done

Tyson on the other hand, had the fight continued, might've gotten seriously wrecked

Regardless if buster still had his noodles, the count went to 10. In boxing, at 10 the fight is over.

Oh boy, here we go again with this long count bullshyt :snoop:

Makes me wonder do people even know the rules of boxing? The rules state that a boxer has to the count of 10 to get up, not 10 seconds. The official count doesn't start until the ref starts counting. The rules also clearly state that the ref is not to start counting until the boxer that scored the knockdown goes to a neutral corner. That's exactly what happened! The ref was escorting Tyson to a neutral corner before starting that count. No different than any other knockdown.

If anybody fukked up the count it was the timekeeper. By the time Tyson made it to a neutral corner, he was already into the count. Just watch the video. He started to count as soon as Douglas hit the canvas,

I see nothing wrong with that count. It was obvious that Douglas was listening to the count and got up at the end purposely. That's what boxers are supposed to do. That way you don't get up too early and risk falling down again and having the ref stop the fight.

And if you think the count was any different for Tyson, here's the video of both together

As you can see, the counts are identical. Only difference was Douglas stood up straight and was ready to go, while Tyson was struggling to put is mouthpiece in and stood up with his legs wobbling like Jello :dead:

TLDR version: Douglas won fair and square, get over it. Only people still disputing this long count crap are Tyson fans who are still salty Buster took away his Boogeyman aura :rudy:

He was fearless and he took that ass, it was like watching your father get his ass kicked. Unbelievable, of course in hindsight knowing what we all know now it makes more sense but at the time it was a fight that shook reality or what I thought was reality.

Tyson was my favorite fighter ever, but buster "did it for his mama".

I can appreciate that :to:

count was fair both ways
tyson lost cause he wasn't training and lost his focus
simple as that
if they had a rematch, tyson woulda killed him
it was a one night miracle story

they almost had a rematch i think in 97 if buster could get past savarese...unfortunately buster failed to do so

That would've been a complete farce. Buster was being shot. He was KTFO by Louis Monaco in one round a couple fights before Savarese but pretended to be hit after the bell or some sh*t and escaped with a DQ win.

Look at that count on Douglas. He pauses right around 8 waiting on him to get up. And you can't act like Buster got up like most boxers who are just waiting for a certain count to stand up. Most boxers if they are gathering themselves are still on one knee or mostly upright. Buster was still on his back and wobbling to get up. Tyson deserved to lose that fight and there shouldn't be a big controversy around it. But you can't act like that count was perfectly by the book. I honestly think the fact that it was the end of the round had more to do with it than anything seeing as how most refs are a lot more lenient if a knockdown happens at the end of the round since the fighter will have that minute in between rounds to recoup.
