Excellent , they waste way too much money on the military

Cutting waste is one thing, but this isn't that. If this were really about reigning in military spending, you would see things like actual procurement reforms, or cuts to bloated weapons contracts. What they're doing here is a targeted purge of high-ranking officers and a reshuffling of leadership to install people loyal to Trump's ideology. That's how authoritarian regimes consolidate control. There's nothing excellent about this.

When you start firing generals and ordering a 20% cut to four-star officers, it starts looking like a purge of anyone who isn't ideologically aligned with your goals. Gutting the chain of command and concentrating military decision-making in fewer hands is dangerous, especially when they're hand-picked.

That’s not how you save money. They need to unload unnecessary defense contracts the military doesn’t even want but that would upset the donors.

Even with the money a General makes, politicians could cut their salary more and lets see how much is saved.. especially since most of their shyt is already paid for.

This does nothing but disorganizes the military more and decrease the chance of military Generals who are opposition.
