“Hell Hath No Fury” beats were meant for “Kingdom Come”

Jay fukked up but I also agree with @JustCKing that a lot of the Hell Hath records don't sound like Jay records.

Hell Hath is such a crazy album. I been on a Clipse kick all month. There's still nothing like this album that sounds like it before or since. Classic shyt.

:wow:

I’m picturing Hov on nightmares and ride around shining :wow:

Jay Z on "Ride Around Shining" probably would've been great.

But in all honesty, Jay Z from back then probably would've struggled with a lot of those beats. I don't see how he could have made "Wamp Wamp", or "Trill" work. Low key, he probably ends up fumbling "Mr. Me Too".

Dark? Dmxs "it's dark and hell is hot" had dark beats. Nothing About Hell Hath No Fury sounds dark..
keys open doors is pretty dark. ride around shinin has some creepy sounds too

I get it. It's not a conventionally dark album but it has a lot of darker themes, and the production is less glossy than a lot of Neptunes other beats.

That worked out for the best. I'm sure Jay would've done a good job with them but his direction with KC was... different to say the least. Clipse going in a dark direction like this was so needed at the time

Although I agree with what everybody said, at the same time I feel Jay could have rocked does beats if he really wanted to go in that space but he was on a different vibe by that time so we got Kingdom Come which I still don't think is as bad as people make it out to be, same way I feel 444 is on the overated side

:wow: HHNF and those one sided Pharrell beats just hit something terrible, compared to Lord Willin.

It just felt like a legit album for dope peddlers that wear jumpsuits, Bboy Stripes, and gold watches.

06 Jay is like Mike wearing the 45 for real. Or matter fact Mike on the Wizards. Nice to see him ball but the magic was gone. He got it back together with American Gangster though.
