We won (what's new against Detroit in Wisconsin), but I'm sorry: we're not a very good football team right now. Offense is too inconsistent. You see the numbers running the ball, and think "awesome, McCarthy has seen the light", except he DOESN'T run on 3rd and shorts, or inside the 5. Today, 1st and Goal at the 4, results in 3 straight throws. Every 3rd and 1: throw. Why did we draft Lacy only to let him watch Rodgers throw in situations he should be getting the ball.
Defense is better, especially against the run. I think Clay may be the most important player on defense for any team. We were playing great against Cincy, then he gets hurt, leaves, and the floodgates open. Same thing today...he leaves, and the Lions start having more success (albeit in garbage time, but still). Perry is improving, which is nice. We need him to be able to sustain pressure when Clay is getting doubled/tripled.
Regardless, we have a long way to go.
