Kudos to Hawk. 10 tackles, 3 sacks, 5 tackles for loss. Lattimore, Mulamba, Neal, and Perry all played great.

Probably NFC Defensive Player of the Week for AJ

Dude is finally playing like a top 5 pick...And to think, he took a major pay cut to his contract and now he decides to beast lol. Once he sees that $$ again he's probably gonna go back to being average :dead:

Nick Perry = Rumor is Broken Foot (time unknown, but will definitely miss Sunday)

Randall Cobb = Fractured Fibula (listed 6 to 8, best case is 4)

James Jones = PCL Sprain (may play Sunday, but I'd guess he sits)

Injuries are really starting to get ridiculous. Looking more and more like 2010 as the year goes on.

41st was the worsest turf on the earth...
I didn't even know Perry was hurt till after the game so considering the optimistic talk about the injuries yesterday I'm pretty bummed about him and Cobb's diagnosis. I figured Jones' injury wasnt that serious and I was expectin more like 2-4 weeks for Cobb.

Can't we have just one year where injuries aren't a major factor? :why:

I don't think Elam did anything wrong but tackles like that shouldn't be made

we did have that one year

we went 15-1 and we blew it in the first round against the giants

Don't forget 2007 either. We were healthy with a bunch of young unproven guys mixed with vets like DD, Harris, Woodson, and Favre having one of his best seasons. Went 13-3 and couldn't steal that NFC Championship vs. NYG when we were given life in that game.

2008 was a cluster f*ckup with blown leads and a soft defense.

2009 we lost Kampman and Harris, no depth in the secondary behind Tramon

2010, we all remember how many guys went down starters and backups... depth was challenged

2011, relatively healthy though we lost Nick Collins who could have helped later on

Last year in 2012 we had plenty of injuries too. Perry, Woodson, Starks, Jennings, Nelson, Bulaga, Bishop, Shields, etc...

We put Cobb on the IR/Designated to Return list. So he's not eligible to practice for 6 weeks/play for 8.

good move. I rather him miss 8 weeks and come back healthy then for him to try to come back 4 weeks and get put on IR before week 6 approaches due to not being 100%.

Alot of guys stepped up though. Lattimore was a fukking beast out there. We just need help at WR (sounds funny coming from our team) and we should be OK with a nice little easy schedule coming up (aside from the Bears but they have Cutler who will win us the game :heh: )

I just cant believe the amount of starters we have out. And not just regular starters but IMPACT players who can change the game. fukking ridiculous.

:manny: he's normally giving us the ball more often than not

BTW, The Packers called up two guys from the practice squad and Greg Van Roten is also on IR.

TE Jake Stoneburner AND WR Meyles White are now on the 53. Stoneburner is pretty much a receiving TE and White is a speedster on the outside.

Info on White. A speedster:
http://www.jsonline.com/sports/pack...t-of-speed-at-receiver-5h9r4bm-206218191.html
Green Bay - The pro day was proof. Myles White is fast. Really fast.
That day, he says, it was about 35 degrees out with a slight wind, but the Louisiana Tech receiver still ran 4.42 seconds in the 40-yard dash. If he had been invited to the NFL scouting combine, that time would have tied him for sixth at his position.
His best time? White quickly cuts in with a "Four, three, zero."
And if you understandably think this is your uncle talking about the 16-point buck that got away, White points to his days as one of the top prep hurdlers in the country. In juniors, he was ranked ninth in the country in the 110-meter hurdles.
At the 2007 AAU Junior Olympics, White raced next to the kid ranked first in the nation, Robert Griffin III.
"That didn't go so well," White said. "I'm thinking, 'I have to get out on him.' I remember getting over the first hurdle. I get to the second hurdle, and I see him just whiz past me."
OK, so White isn't RGIII-fast. But he is a burner. And even though they waited until pick No. 216 to address the position, the Green Bay Packers clearly sought speed at wide receiver. White, Grand Valley State's Charles Johnson (4.40) and Maryland's Kevin Dorsey (4.47) also could be potential deep threats. All three have a legitimate shot at making the roster.
An undrafted pickup, White won't lack confidence. In Green Bay, he hopes to add something different.
"I looked at the Packers' roster and they have a lot of big-guy, possession receivers," White said. "I think I can go in there and be a burner, a guy who can flip the defense and catch 50-yard bombs. That's what I've done my whole career.
"It's just a great situation. You've got a quarterback who's the best in the league. (Running back) Eddie Lacy just came in. A great defense. I want to be a part of that greatness."
At Louisiana Tech, White was Robin to Quinton Patton's Batman, catching 56 passes for 718 yards and six touchdowns last fall. White has possessed pro-ready speed but is a late bloomer after getting off to a turbulent start at Michigan State. In East Lansing, he was involved in campus brawl between football players and fraternity members on Nov. 22, 2009.
White says one of his teammates got jumped so he, and others, intervened.
"We went to help him out and it just turned into this big brawl," White said. "Fifteen of us ended up getting in trouble on our team. Our faces are all over ESPN, and we 'attacked them.' "
White eventually pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault. The same night as the brawl, he also was charged with public urination. The line at a club was too long, so White relieved himself in dark alley.
All in all, a night to forget. White was sentenced to two years of probation and 150 hours of community service. In retrospect, he'd handle it differently, for sure. But that very public blow-up led to White seeking a fresh start elsewhere. He doesn't necessarily regret the incident.
"It's hard to sit there and say if I could go back and change it I would because, to be honest, I don't regret it because I learned so much from it," White said. "There are different ways I could have handled it. Maybe I could have got him out earlier when they were in an argument. Whatever the case, I should have avoided the situation completely and not put a black eye on Michigan State or my own name or anybody else's name.
"Once that happened, it kind of put a dark cloud over me and I just didn't know how to handle that dark cloud as far as the negative media attention. I wanted to start fresh and do it all over again."
So that's what he did. White transferred to Northwest Mississippi Community College for one year and then to Louisiana Tech for two. The speed wasn't always on display - White had a modest 12.6 yards per reception last year. But opposite Patton, he was a solid No. 2 last year.
White, whose father ran track at Michigan State, will face long odds in Green Bay. Still, more speed on the boundary wouldn't hurt with Greg Jennings off to Minnesota. The Packers have arguably three of the best wideouts in the NFL in James Jones, Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson. Yet compared to the record-setting 2011 season, the big play wasn't in such high supply last season.
Possibly in a year or two, one of these three wide receivers picked up over draft weekend will stick as a downfield threat.
"When I talked to the scout I had, that's what they hinted toward," White said. "They want a speed guy who can get deep. I think that I can do that. I know they brought in two guys in the draft who can do that as well. So it's just about who really can do it."
Maybe it's the undrafted rookie from Louisiana Tech who finally gets a shot four years after seeing his name shamed.
"I'm hoping to perform well," White said, "and make the coaches have to play me and get into a situation where I can be a part of a Super Bowl-winning effort."

Good news on Finley is that he has feeling throughout his body ruling him out to be another Nick Collins injury. Probably be out a few weeks though.

So, who's next on the practice squad? :dead:
