Mr. Scarface Is Back is a little too old school early 90s gangster for me LOL. I liked a few joints though like...Mr. Scarface, Diary of a Madman, and A Minute to Pray and a Second to Die.
I feel you. It sounds kind of dated at this point, but not enough where the work doesn't hold up. I always liked how his voice sounded when his career first started too, later in his career it way too grainy. Not enough to put me off from the music tho

Scarface-The World Is Yours. That's the album that made me a fan. The beats and the way he rides them is sick. Whole album is crack. A lot of "fukks" but :manny: album still bangs. The production, lyricism, and subject matter on a few tracks like "Dyin With Your Boots On" and "Now I Feel Ya" all kept me interested.

I see "The Diary" get posted a lot which you can't go wrong with that. "Seen A Man Cry" is one of the best songs ever. Scarface embodies the grim reaper like I've never heard an artist do. Only weak track to me is "One" which keeps it from being the GOAT Scarface album.

the great thing about Scarface is he never fell off... you can start with his latest projects then work your way back if his earlier stuff sounds to old school

the last thing he dropped was the Dopeman music mixtape and it went hard

:what:

i actually know quite a few people who didn't really like the fix. the fix is when i started getting into scarface so it's kind of nostalgic for me.

Can't go wrong with his greatest hits album, actually a GH album done right. If you think Mr. Scarface Is Back sounds dated, check out The Fix but before you do definitely peep Untouchable asap.

Interesting story - according to "Decoded" (Jay-Z's book) Jay, Beans, and Scarface were in the studio about to record this track and then Face got a phone call saying one of his friend's child died. He was devastated by the news so he threw the original verse he had planned to record out, and wrote a completely new verse for the song in a matter of minutes. Check it
