How much maintenance can you perform on it per week?

The answer is put two koi fish ponds in there and teach the inhabitants on how to play battle ship so throughout the year, pebbles and other debris can be flung from one side of the yard to the next including when you have company over. Maybe for fourth of July, you give them glow in the dark pebbles to be more festive
