Isn't the point of being a Christian to strive to be like Jesus Christ? It seems like someone telling her all she has to do is believe in Christ did her a disservice and if this is common, it kinda explains why so many Christians are so un-Christlike. Just my two cents.
You gotta rewatch her video. It’s the principle.
The Bible is about forgiveness and redemption
She wasn’t being taught the message of the Bible
She was just being given rules and a religion to follow.
She should’ve been taught that you could never live up to gods holy standard and laws but GodS LOVE and mercy is a gift to us through Jesus and it is Gods offering a way out of SIN for FREE to those who believe
Being “christ-like” isn’t what makes you Christian
Being Christ-like is a by product of your faith.
Faith is key. Not works. God did the work.
You don’t earn your way into goods grace. You just accept it.
If you believe you need to do “A & B” for God to forgive you, it’s not unconditional love or a gift. That’s a reward or an exchange.
